BonsaiJon on Malta Sunday Times Tech Supplement

by BonsaiJon on March 23, 2009

Today i’ve had the pleasure to see my name for the first time on a local newspaper.  I have written an article for the Malta Sunday Times Technology Supplement about SEO and how it can help Maltese Businesses a couple of weeks ago and today, after much anxiety it got published.  It is titled SEO and how your business can benefit from it.

The reason I’m writing this post is not just for bragging rights,  I want to share with you how I came about this opportunity. A month ago I went out for a lunch meeting with  my friend and business partner Darren and whilst we were talking I was flipping the Malta Times (how rude of me), specifically the iTech Supplement which comes out once a week.  The articles were mostly software and gadget reviews and I was telling Darren what an opportunity it would be to write an article on The Times, I felt I had the potential to share a lot of valuable knowledge to readers with new material they can benefit from, something that we don’t read much about in the local newspapers like Internet Marketing, Social Media and SEO.

I truly believe about a principle, a law of the universe called The Law of Attraction. When you put a thought out (whether it’s a positive or negative thought) into the universe with enough passion an invisible force will drag you down the path to attaining it.   (I know it’s sounds kinda hocus pocus at first but bear with me)

Two weeks later I mentioned my wish of writing an article for The Times of Malta, I had the privilege to meet a local Maltese Entrepreneur Alex Grech on Twitter.  We noticed that we had a lot of similar ideas and we met up to get to know each other further.  He invited me to his office so I went and we started chatting, firing up ideas.  Alex is the kind of guy that you enjoy talking to, he’s an intelligent and progressive businessman who can talk on an intellectual level on any subject we jumped on from business ethics, marketing, social media to one of his major passions in life JAZZ.   He also mentioned an array of projects he was involved in and one of them was being the editor of the Sunday Times Technology Supplement and as you probably know, he asked me if was interested to write an article for him and of course I agreed and the rest as they say is history.

Don’t be afraid to talk about your goals and dreams, the Law of Attraction works flawlessly, everytime.

Bonsaijon,
I tired to get a hold of this article, also checked the Times website. No Luck. Would love to read your article. Any chance of posting a copy?

Hi JP,

You won’t find it online since they did not put it on the website yet. I believe the editor is working on this.

I have just scanned it this morning and I have also received a pdf version of the supplement which I will be putting it online very soon.

Thank you for your interest, I greatly appreciate it.

Haha talk about being generous with linking and ancher text! … nice article Jon. I don’t really believe in the ‘The Secret’ and ‘The Law of Attraction’…but yes…if you’re dedicated enough in life, the probability of getting what you want is much better. Cheers and keep up the good work.
