As I was reading on Courier Post Online’s Business News Yahoo Inc. stumbled to a fourth-quarter loss of $303 million, which is huge, but not as huge as Analysts have foreseen. It’s not easy to turn around such a huge company in this industry especially after the year and a half reign of Jerry Yang CEO, where Yahoo were hitting the pits.
Carol Bartz the newly appointed Yahoo’s CEO contacted analysts in a conference called and explained that turn around isn’t an easy or an instant feat. She is still learning the current processes of such a complex organization before planning Yahoo’s turn around for 2009.
Let’s hope Yahoo will come back to greatness and stop making faux pas like Changing Search Marketing Campagins and start increasing Search Market Share (even if it is 0.5%). I love Carol Bartz’s optimism and it will certainly be a story for the Business Books if she can make a come back.
It’s hard to see the sun light when the hole is that deep however everything is possible.
What do you think? Can Carol Bartz turn it all around?
