So even though these where the 2 busiest weeks I had I still remained committed to the blog and to post at least 5 posts a week on the blog.

The results aren’t exactly impressive however with a little more effort I KNOW this blog is going to be huge. I haven’t really marketed the blog yet, I never saw the point in starting to tell a bunch of people about your blog before you have some quality content and have at least 10 posts under your belt.

Twitter Report

I posted on Twitter a few times (29 tweets to be exact) and I have 28 follower’s, which means almost 1 follower for every tweet I made, not bad.  I wasn’t really pro-active about following tweeters I only followed a few like Brad Fallon and Andy Jenkins who I admire a great deal since they are the reason I got interested in internet marketing in the first place. The rest of the people I am following are people who followed me and I saw that they have great content and I followed them back.

So that’s good it must mean I am putting some relevant content out there. (pat myself on the back)

Google AdSense Report

I have put Google AdSense on my blog exactly 1 week ago (21st October 2008 to be exact) and I have made $7.18 in 1 week.  I have an 11.86% CTR (Click Through Rate) which is not bad.  I know that this will eventually go down however I would like to keep my traffic as targeted and as relevant as possible so I can maintain a CTR level of 5% onwards wchih by my standards is pretty darn good.

Traffic Report / Google Analytics

151 Visitors - (not so bad, could do better)
500 Page Views – (people are actually reading my bosts, Awesome)
60% Bounce Rate – (lame, but I only created the About Bonsai Jon Page a few days ago so visitors kept bouncing out)
Average Time on site of 05mins 39sec – (I am quite pleased with this one)

Going Forward

This was all in all a very good start, especially for the limited amount of effort I am able to put into this blog.  The goal is to duplicate what I’ve done (and then some).  I have made $7 and this is without having affiliate programs, without building backlinks and without buying traffic.  This was mostly traffic from my Twitter Account, Facebook Account and some clicks from my buddy Andre Gauci‘s blog.

So this month I will be more pro-active …

• Double the tweets
• Participate in more forums
• Comment on blogs.
• Encourage Visitors to comment on mine.
• Add more subscribers to my RSS Feed
• Help More People
• Submit My Site To Social Networks
• Choose at least 2 affiliate products to endorse
• Write More Reviews
• Get More Traffic
• Keyword Research SEO
• Earn More Money.

Not particularly in that order.
