I have always wondered about the art of making money and what it takes to become a millionaire. It’s a relatively simple question, but not a lot of people seem to know the answer. I’ve asked this to teachers, doctors, family members and even to a priest. They all had their opinions and views about million
aires.
There seemed to be a common misconception that all rich people are evil, cheat people out of their money and treat their employees like slave workers. While in some cases this is true, I know it’s much more than that. Some were quite certain about the steps that a person needs to take, and the first question that comes to mind from this certainty is, why aren’t you one? Then the excuses come, I don’t have the time to do it, I don’t have enough money, my husband/wife wouldn’t let me, the kids, the house payments, the cat and the dog.
Winners have a plan, losers have an excuse.
The more things are “stopping” you, the harder you need to work on a plan to change your life. I have really started to learn about the art of success when my friend Colin introduced to Kenneth Attard, an MLM Marketing genius and motivational speaker. We met him at a cafe` and he was listening to his ipod, which he gently took off the headphones and introduced himself to me. I asked him how he was and with strong handshake he said “I’m Fired UP, I’ve never been better”.
To be completely honest I thought this guy was bit off, no one had ever introduced himself to me like that. He started talking about life concepts which are so simple yet effect and his attitude was so positive that I decided to shut up and just listen to the guy. He started to mention books of self development and gave me names of motivational speakers like Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn, Bob Proctor and Anthony Robbins. He said if you want to be successful you must learn from successful people.
He was mentioning stories about guys who came from nothing, became millionaires, lost it all and became millionaires again. Then he asked me if I knew why was it that these guys made so much money, lost it and made it back again, when most of the people we know, don’t make it even once.
It wasn’t the money, since they lost it they couldn’t use that to make another million. It wasn’t luck either and I asked him if it was the experience that they had. He said, part of it is true, experience has a great deal to do with it, but it’s not experience that made them millionaires in the first place, it was their thoughts, they had a Winner’s Mindset, it’s their habits and their pledge to constant and never ending improvement (CANI). They believed they could do it, at any cost, and they did. And this is really and truly the bottom line. You must believe in yourself. Zig ziglar says “You cannot climb the ladder of success dressed in the costume of failure”.
They challenged themselves daily and if you note carefully inside the word challenge is change, if you don’t change, you hang (also in the world challenge). Success is a language you need to learn and it’s something you don’t learn in school, you learn how to be successful in a job, but you know what job stands for right? Just Over Broke.
Make a decision to change your life today!
