I recently came across a web browser like nothing I have ever seen before. Flock is a browser that’s built on our the Mozilla Firefox and therefore has all the features we are used to with a cherry on top. Flock is THE Social Web browser. It supports a wide range of social networking websites such as Facebook, Digg, Deli.icio.us, Gmail, Pownce, YouTube and popular blogging/micro-blogging tools such as Twitter, WordPress and Blogger, the list goes on and on which shows how much thought has been put into this browser.

Flock – The Social Web Browser
The features that it has are quite unique, sure Firefox have a lot of plugins that do similar stuff but that’s ok, if you don’t like the built in features and want to use your favorite Firefox plugin in Flock.
Communicating with your contacts has never been easier
One of the really awesome features Flock has is the People Sidebar. When you log into a supported service the People Sidebar will load all of your friends in it.
Sharing has never been easier.
If you see a photo, a video or an article that you like and you would like to share it all you have to do is dragging and dropping the article on
the friend in the sidebar. If you have your Facebook friends listed, the browser will open the Facebook private messaging system with preset content about the item you dragged and all you need to do is press send. It’s that simple.
Track what you friends are up to
The sidebar will update automatically if your Facebook friend had a status update, or if you’re on your Twitter Tab and a new tweet came in, no need to refresh your browser, it’s automatically done for you. Instant update without having to refresh your browser until it crashes.

To sum up I have been using flock for about 2 weeks now and there is so much more to say about it. I don’t want to bore you with a very long post so I will be adding a part 2 very soon where I will show you how you can use Flock to update your blog(s) and managing/sharing media.
I highly recommend you try Flock out and feel free to share your thoughts and comments.
